Westport
This family bought their dream home in Westport and moved their family across the country excited to start living in our wonderful community. The day after they moved in, some faulty wiring led to a large house fire in late June 2018.
The O’Dell Group happened to be working on a wine cellar for the client when the fire broke out on the other side of the house. As we stood outside the home with the devastated family and fire department, we were determined to do all in our power to repair their home and get them moved back in as soon as possible.

We had to gut the entire first floor and finished basement and cosmetically redo much of the second floor. We also had to redo much of the mechanicals as the existing electrical system was now a source of suspicion and the ductwork had all been infiltrated by smoke.
We used our vast array of internal and external resources to work as efficiently as possible. As the client noted, “The very next day, and for every day following… we felt like a priority, a friend, and a project they genuinely cared about.”
Four and a half months later, we were able to move them back into their beautifully updated home, so they could focus on enjoying all that our community has to offer.
